Chrome OS Driver Development

As more and more businesses and government organizations make the switch to chromebooks, I believe that Chrome OS will become the most popular operating system (OS) in due time. Google is massive already, and Google has hired Deloitte to help promote Chromebooks and assist companies in transitioning their employees to Chromebooks (there is a whitepaper out there somewhere, and Deloitte goes into significant detail). Microsoft and Apple might be caught off guard by how quickly people are making the switch to Chrome OS for their businesses like I have already done.

Is there a chance that Rollo will become available to use on Chromebooks that run Chrome OS? The browser extension is already developed, but I cannot use my Rollo printer on the Pixelbook I bought for work. The Pixelbook I have runs Chrome OS, but it is top of the line with i7 processor, 512 GB SSD, and 16 GB RAM, and I use this laptop for my business. I am a single member LLC with plans to hire individuals in the future, and it would be great to support Rollo, as I believe the printer design and functionality is top-of-the-line and extremely user-friendly, much like Chromebooks in general.

Unfortunately, I will be looking into other thermal printers that are compatible with Chrome OS today since I have to ship out items and cannot use this Pixelbook to do so. If there are plans to develop a driver for Rollo then I might switch back, as I love the product and its ease-of-use. I want to continue supporting Rollo, and I wish the company the best of luck in this uncertain environment.

Kind regards,
Kyle
